Moving from a NYC apartment to a Texas home means I have a lot of decorating to do! Of course, we will not be able to do it all at once, but I am having so much fun just thinking about how I want to fill the rooms. I have always loved antique furniture (it must […]
Knox and I took a little road trip to visit family this week while FMK stayed in Houston for work. We left the lake house on Sunday, made a stop at my parents house for a night and then continued on to my grandparents (Knox’s great grandparent’s) house on Monday. I feel so incredibly blessed […]
WEEKENDS AT THE LAKE
One of the things we were most excited about moving back to Texas is the ability to hop in the car and drive somewhere to getaway for the weekend. Don’t get me wrong, we loved heading east of the city on a summer weekend, but it was never easy. (“Should we take the train or the […]
MY STYLE: FREE
We finally moved our wardrobe boxes inside to a place where we can actually access them! I was starting to wonder how I was going to pack for New York Fashion Week with all my clothes, shoes and handbags in storage. Getting the clothes inside is the first step. (I’ll worry about the rest on another day.) […]
MOMMY MONDAYS: POST BABY HEALTH
photographed by Lindsey Belle Most of us are so busy worrying about every breath our little ones take that we rarely stop for a second to take care of ourselves after having a baby. Yes our unmanicured hands are usually a reminder that our ‘me’ time is taking a back seat to nurturing and caring for […]

My MIL and I are talking about updating her downstairs powder rooms so I naturally started perusing Pinterest and houzz for some inspiration. I love the split walls whether it be with tile, wall paper or wainscoting. I am also really loving the look of a white pedestal sink for a tiny space.
This converted antique table with the marble top is perfection!
This is a great more subtle option if you don’t want to go with a bold color choice.

I had to include this beautiful orange! It is the HoH color, of course.

This is the one image that is all wall paper, but I love the green and blue color combo so I had to include it!

Moving from a NYC apartment to a Texas home means I have a lot of decorating to do! Of course, we will not be able to do it all at once, but I am having so much fun just thinking about how I want to fill the rooms. I have always loved antique furniture (it must be the southern girl in me), but I love adding youthful fabrics and modern lines to keep the overall feel younger and perhaps a little unexpected.
I came to my hometown of Corsicana this week to visit family and to do a little shopping at my favorite antique store, Canterbury Court. I made sure to pack my new favorite denim + t-shirt combo from Old Navy for a comfy outfit for travel and shopping. I love the front double zippers on the jeans and, of course, you can never have too many striped t-shirts!
This post was brought to you in partnership with Old Navy. Check out Old Navy‘s latest fashion lineup in store or online at oldnavy.com. Thank you for supporting the brands that make HOUSE of HARPER possible!

Knox and I took a little road trip to visit family this week while FMK stayed in Houston for work. We left the lake house on Sunday, made a stop at my parents house for a night and then continued on to my grandparents (Knox’s great grandparent’s) house on Monday. I feel so incredibly blessed to still have three healthy grandparents for Knox to know. They are the purest examples of faith and love, and I pray that we both grow-up to be (even a little) more like them.
Our poor little angel got his first stomach bug this week. He has been so sweet and happy despite not feeling well, but he couldn’t hold anything down yesterday other than Pedialyte and crackers. It broke my heart to see him sick. He seemed much better this morning so fingers crossed it was just a 24-hour bug.
With all our travel and the Texas heat, this has been my uniform lately. A favorite button down or t-shirt and my go-to denim shorts. I am really starting to crave fall fashion. (And a proper closet with all my clothes unpacked!)
