Crocs Women’s AllCast Luxe Duck Boot_4
First of all, thank you for hanging in there while I was a little MIA this week. To say things have been crazy around here would be an understatement. I truly appreciate all your kind words on Instagram this week, it honestly means so much. The good news is the big move is finally happening next week (!) and it will soon be back to normal programing around here with exciting new content that comes with moving into a new house! I will be sharing behind the scenes pictures on Instagram since the house will not be ready for a full reveal just yet. So, be sure to follow along here!

Houston, and most of Texas, experienced a bit of an unseasonal cool front early this week with temperates in the low 30’s! All my winter clothes are still in storage, but lucky for me, I had picked up this cozy, oversized sweater and a new pair of lined duck boots (currently 25% off with code FAMILY). Remember last year when I shared this pair of duck boots and you all went crazy for them, but they sold out so fast?! Well, they are back and even cuter than last year’s version! Win, win! I hope you all are staying warm and gearing up for the holidays. I can not wait to get in the house to build our first fire and start decorating for Christmas!

P.S Isn’t this outfit just screaming for an oversized plaid scarf?!  Mine is storage so I couldn’t include it in today’s post, but if you don’t already own one, better grab one here! ;)

It is amazing what a little color can do for my soul.  Whether it comes in the form of a little red cup (complete with a peppermint latte), a beautiful sunset, or a new pink rug – color can bring a smile to my face.  And when it comes to color, no one understands me better than kate spade new york.  I mean, how perfect is this red cape for the holidays (and everyday)?!

But the kate spade new york motto to live colorfully doesn’t always have to be so literal.  More often than not, it is simply letting the people and places around you add color to your life.  Watch their video to be inspired to start living your life a little more colorfully.

The final count down until our move in is ON! If all goes according to plan, we will be moving next weekend!!! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a wall coming down. Our house is a traditional ranch style home that had a formal living room off the front door and on the other side of the wall was the den. Seeing as we are not the formal living room type, we decided to open up the wall to get better use of the space.

I know we are going to love the open layout and more light coming into the house, but the one draw back is less wall space. Since we don’t have much wall space for art in the living areas, I want to have a gallery wall in my office.  I love the idea of displaying images of buildings and landscapes we have taken on our travels mixed in with inspiring phrases.  Here is a round up of some of my favorite gallery walls from around the web…
