One of the most consistent request I am hearing from you across the blog and social media is for more easy outfits that will take you from one activity to another… including events with your kids. I love finding dresses like this one that are comfortable (not form-fitting) and can easily be dressed up for meetings or church, but also look great with a pair of flats for those days you don’t have time for a quick change between work and a playdate with your kids. And let’s be honest, what is easier than a dress you can throw on and not have to think about much else? (Did I mention it is under $100?!)
Sometimes you find a dress and you have no idea where you will ever wear it or why you need it in your closet, but you know you must have it. That is how I felt about this dress. So to do it justice, Kate and I decided to take a little road trip to this bridge we have planned to shoot on for over a year now, but had never got around to. Well, I think it was worth the wait because it was the perfect location to show how the dress moves! I think I will be wearing it again this Thursday for our girls dinner with some flat boots and a leather jacket to dress it down.
Congratulations, we have made it half way through our first week back to work in 2017!
At HOUSE of HARPER, we are busy taking a deep dive into last year and cooking up some fun new content for 2017! Don’t be too jealous if it sounds like a fun vacation, we are also doing the not so glamorous stuff like taxes, expenses and all those fancy spreadsheets that I got so good at in my Buyer days. 🙂 With that being said, we will be taking all next week off from blog post and will be back with new content on Monday, January 16th! In the meantime, we will be active on social media, of course. You can find me on Facebook + Instagram @houseofharper.
Speaking of social media, when Instagram launched stories, I decided to move our Snapchat videos over there. It was too overwhelming for me to post on both platforms and since I was already using Instagram, I thought it made the most sense for my audience. However, I have received several comments about moving it back to Snapchat. What is the consensus? Which platform are you using most? I would love to hear your thoughts!
As always, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for sharing this journey with me! Because of all of you, I get to share what I love everyday and call it a job. I hope to continue to create content that inspires you and keeps you coming back for more. If there is something you would like to see more of, see less of, topics or categories become more frequent, please take a second to leave a comment or shoot me an email. Do you want more videos? More home? More family? More outfits? Let us know!
In honor of tradition, and because I think it is fun, I am rounding up the best of 2016! I use this to help plan out future content as this is the best way for me to see what you love and what you want to see more of. As always, please leave a comment or shoot me an email for request, comments or just to say hi!
