MEET THE TEAM

Caroline Harper Knapp

Founder and Creative Director

Hometown: Corsicana, Texas

Education: Texas A&M University, BBA in Marketing

Caroline started her decade long career in corporate fashion at Neiman Marcus in Dallas where she earned a coveted spot in their Executive Development Program and went on to become an Assistant Buyer in Woman’s Fine Apparel. But her dream to move to New York City pulled her away in 2010 when her husband, Fred, was accepted into Columbia Business School’s MBA program. In New York, Caroline joined the merchandising team at Gilt Group where she helped grow their Women’s Fine Apparel and Beauty businesses.

Working at New York City’s largest start-up taught Caroline to adapt to the ever-changing world of fashion and technology and she saw an opportunity to merge her love and experience for the industry into something all of her own. Bringing her skillset – visual merchandising, branding, creative planning and meticulous eye for style – Caroline launched HOUSE of HARPER in 2011.

A pioneer in the industry, Caroline has amassed a dedicated following for the relatable way she shares everything from her personal style to her personal struggles. Her ability to combine beautiful imagery with her approachable take on life has created a warm and inviting platform to share her journey – from navigating motherhood to decorating their first home.

As a young mom, Caroline aims to inspire the modern woman to explore their passions, seize every moment and have fun while trying to balance it all.

Together Caroline and her husband, Fred, have three adorable kids; Knox, Andrew and Millie. Fred works in commercial real-estate, but generously lends his encouragement and business acumen to support and grow HOUSE of HARPER.
