Caroline styles her maroon Mirth Caftan for a chic fall look

In our household, fall means college football season! It’s hard to imagine a chilly fall Saturday without College Game Day on in the background. Even if I’m not paying too much attention, football on the TV is a familiar sound that makes me think of cool weather, a fire in the fireplace, and time with family.

FMK and I met at Texas A&M, and you will often find us wearing maroon (or burgundy or oxblood) on the weekend. Luckily, burgundy has been an on-trend color over the past few years, and I have been able to find chic, game day-appropriate pieces, like my favorite new MIRTH top! Read on below for details.

MIRTH is a brand that was founded by two sisters based in Houston, so of course I’m a huge fan! They design their collections with artisan textiles from India and donate a percentage of each sale to a child welfare organization in Jaipur, India. I have been loving this burgundy top for fall, and it’s the perfect fabric weight for the slightly chilly weather we’ve been having lately. It will also be perfect for holiday parties over the next couple of months!
