This is a philosophy I personally live by and it has become a popular topic among the fashion world. It’s officially summer and it is officially HOT! This time of year I find the lightest weight dresses in my closet and keep them on rotate. Knox was sweating when we were playing at the park on Monday and I couldn’t help but think he has a rude awakening coming if he thinks 90 degrees with a breeze is hot… I guess we didn’t have the best timing scheduling a move to Houston, Texas in late July. (Sorry little buddy!)
Speaking of the move, all the moving parts (literally) and the unknown is starting to get to me. I have become more of a home body than I probably like to admit in my old age and the thought of not having a permanent place to call home when we arrive in Houston will be hard for me. Especially now that I am working from home. We are finally locking down the exact move date, scheduling the movers and booking our flights this week. I am dropping in from Chicago O’Hare airport for a quick hello. The plan was to have a one hour layover here this morning to catch a connecting flight to Portland, but due to bad weather in Chicago, we are spending our day in the airport until our flight leaves tonight at 5:00pm. 🙁
Despite having to wake up two hours early this morning and missing his morning nap (because he was too interested in what was going on around him), Knox has been a trooper. He finally drifted off a minute ago so my current view is Knox naping in his car seat and FMK naping on the airport floor. (I should also mention that FMK has Knox’s giraffe loveie over his eyes. It’s a pretty cute sight, if I do say so myself.)
