{dress (worn as skirt): forever21; t-shirt: j.crew; sandals: dolce vita via gilt; necklaces: brian burkhardt’s collection for kenneth cole c/o Kenneth Cole, dogeared, & sheyna; ring: luv via gilt; crossbody bag: matt & nat via gilt; sunglasses: karan walker via gilt}

We headed to Brooklyn’s Prospect Park yesterday for the GoogaMooga Festival. The weather was perfect, the music entertaining and the food delicious! I wore this forever21 maxi dress turned skirt. I wasn’t feeling the halter top so I cut off the straps and turned them into the beaded necklace you see me wearing. I was pleased with my last-minute handy work, and think I will get much more wear out of it this summer in its new form.

And, because I can’t tell you I went to a food festival without sharing some of the yummy pictures…

    I was there yesterday too, and had tons of fun! I’m jealous you got to try the Joseph Leonard sandwich–they were sold out by the time we got there. My favorite was the Blue Ribbon fried chicken wings and Melt’s Cinnamax ice cream sandwich. :)

    That food looks amazing…also, loving the casual weekend look! Totally pinned it for weekend inspiration!

    It’s looks like you had an amazing time! The food looked absolutley delicious! Great casual look. I think it was incredibly creative how you made a necklace out of the straps from your dress! Way cool! :)
