Sometimes it is best to just keep it simple, if you ask me.

I look back on past outfits I wore to NYFW and ask myself, “What was I thinking?!”  I think it is easy to get caught up in all the street style and photographers and end up wearing something you may regret (speaking from experience).  This year, being pregnant and knee-deep into an exciting project (that I can’t wait to share with you soon!), I didn’t have much time or energy to spend over thinking my outfits, and I think it turned out for the best. I purchased a few items that I need to get me through the pregnancy (like this LBD) and other staples that I will definitely wear again back home.

I think this motto goes well with most things in life: keep it simple, don’t over think it and just be yourself.  And you usually can’t go wrong.

I found this handbag in a closet at my grandparent’s house after they had both passed away.  My grandfather had already given me my grandmother’s leopard coat, but I never knew she had a matching handbag and hat made, as well.  I love how timeless it is, but mostly I love how it reminds me of her when I carry it.
