Anyone else just love the 4th of July?! It’s one of my favorite holidays! We spent the actual 4th celebrating with friends in Houston with a parade and day by the pool. We are now at the Knapp’s lakehouse for a weekend of fireworks, fishing and boating!

Listening to: Whiskey Myers at the lakehouse! I love listening to this local east Texas band while in East Texas. 😉 (The lead singer is from Palestine, Tx – just down the road from the Knapp’s lakehouse in Crockett.)
Watching: The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley Fred and I both found the Elizabeth Holmes documentary so fascinating! She is our age and grew up in Houston so it seems so crazy that this is actually a true story playing out right now… a must watch!
About town: Memorial Villages Farmers Market (or any local farmers market) is the perfect Saturday activity! This one has live music, freshly brewed coffee and breakfast served as you shop! Can’t Stop Wearing: My oversized denim jacket in Houston’s cold restaurants, museums, and theaters it’s the perfect accessory to leave in your car so you have it when you need it.
Current Life Hack: Audiobooks! Listening to audiobooks while running errands or picking up the house makes completing chores a breeze. I’m currently listening to The Road Back to You per a friend’s recommendation.
