House of Harper April Book Club

In Houston the Spring is never long enough — I cherish these few weeks of being able to play outside with the boys before the heat sets in! For April Book Club, our team picked reads that are all about the home, outdoor entertaining, and gardening. I hope these inspire you and your family to enjoy the outdoors this season as much as possible!

Secret Gardeners: Britain’s Creatives Reveal Their Private Sanctuaries: I’ll admit that I’m a bit of an Anglophile, so I was drawn to this book that showcases beautiful gardens owned by creatives in Britain. Now if only I had a green thumb, and an English manor! – Kathryn Worsham Humphries, House of Harper Content Director

Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering: Spring means lots of al fresco dinning and I can’t wait to make some of Joanna’s recipes for upcoming family dinners at home and the farm house. – Caroline’s pick

The Seasonaires: A Novel: This is the perfect book to read at the park or at the beach this spring. The book is set in Nantucket during the summer and follows the life of six people working as brand ambassadors. – Caroline’s pick

We are the Gardeners: This children’s book by Joanna Gaines tells her family’s story about becoming gardeners — it’s absolutely adorable! I picked up this book as a gift for a little girl and she loved the beautiful illustrations used to tell the story. – Jessica Kelley, House of Harper
