{Dress: Dolce and Gabbana, Shoes: dolce vita, bracelets: Amrita Singh via Gilt Groupe}

This dress holds a special place in my heart because it was one of my first Designer purchases.  By that, I mean this is a sample that I bought at an employee sample sale when I was an Assistant Buyer at Neiman Marcus, but it still counts.  Right?

Being a true lover of fashion, I do believe that great clothes are a work of art, and this dress takes it to a whole new level with the brush stroke print.  So, where do you take pictures of a dress like this?  In front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, of course!

If you will remember from this video, I love dresses for their simplicity.  Let’s face it, some mornings, I am lucky to get out the door on time.  Period.  But, when you work in fashion, you feel a certain pressure to always be stylish.  So, how do you still look put together and still get out the door in 30 minutes?  A dress.

For this dress, I kept the shoes a simple shade of gray to anchor the outfit.  The silver and rhinestone bangles add a nice touch, and I am out the door!

Styling Tip: To take this dress into the evening, I add a statement necklace and pull back my hair to dress it up.

How do you stay chic at work?
