One of my favorite things about reaching our one year anniversary is being able to look back on what was happening this time last year. I was reading my last Easter Sunday post before I starting writing this one, and I realized how blessed we are to have found a church family in New York this year. Last year we spent Easter as just the two of us, which was wonderful, but this year we had other young couples from our church to celebrate with. Of course, we still miss our real family dearly, especially on the holidays.
Being a true southern girl, I had to wear a floral Easter Sunday dress, and lucky for me, Banana Republic had just sent me this beautiful option. Since it is still cool in New York, I paired it with black tights and leopard accessories. (Which I can assure you I would have never done in Texas!) It was the perfect mix of my traditional Easter dress with a splash of New York edge. I kept my jewelry simple otherthan the pink floral statement necklace.
I hope you all had a lovely holiday weekend with your friends and/or family.

Your blog is great!!!! I just posted the first day of spring in Beverly Hills … http://www.thegavlaks.com take a look!
For some reason, the floral dress pairs well with the leopard shoes. I have never been able to mix patterns so well, but it works great on you. The whole outfit is cute enough.
Thank you! Find an inspiration image and make it work with your closet. You will rock it!
I’m so glad to hear you found a church family you feel at home with + love. It took me awhile to find one I liked after moving back home, but I found one just at the start of this year and it is great! You look pretty as always, too 🙂
