I love when a classic print makes a reappearance on the runways. In addition to leopard print (which I love!), I’m also excited to wear plaid this fall. Plaid has been a trend that we’ve seen come and go over the years, but it remains a classic. It can be styled bold and over the top, or traditional and understated. Read on below for how we’re wearing plaid this season!

Bold: Plaid on Plaid

If you really want to give the plaid trend a go, try wearing a full plaid suit set! Whether you have a holiday party, work event, or girls’ dinner on the calendar, wearing plaid on plaid is super festive and definitely makes a statement.

Understated: Plaid Blazer + Denim

A classic plaid blazer paired with blue jeans is one of our favorite looks for fall. It’s the perfect way to wear a bold print while still looking understated. This look can be dressed up for meetings with a pair of mules or dressed down for running errands with sneakers.

Playful: Mixed Prints

We love that plaid can be dressed up or down, and mixed and matched with everything from denim to leopard print! Have fun with plaid by pairing it with stripes, polka dots, leopard print, and even other plaids.

Traditional: Hint of Plaid

When we think of traditional plaid, we imagine an English countryside outing, the lining of a chic trench coat, and the perfect winter scarf.  If you are a fan of plaid but prefer to keep your outfits understated, try adding a hint of plaid with one piece like a plaid pant, coat or scarf. You may even have a favorite plaid piece tucked away in your closet from years ago!
