This winter warm cocktail at La Table, one of our favorite Galleria area restaurants, sounds absolutely divine. It’s made with vanilla vodka, Godiva Chocolate, Crème de Cacao, a splash of warm milk and a chocolate shavings garnish. Yes, please!

Coltivare’s Egg Noggy or Nice

Coltivare, a cozy Italian restaurant in the Heights, is always at the top of our where-to-go-for-dinner list. Their garden is perfect for bundling up with a cocktail. Coltivare’s bar manager Sarah Keck is serving up her own family eggnog recipe this year and it sounds delicious and quite potent! “Each year my family makes my grandmother’s traditional eggnog on Christmas Day. We make a huge batch, invite our friends/family, ladle it out, and then pass “more nog” (i.e. more bottles of bourbon and rum) around the table so you can spike your (already boozy) eggnog up a bit. Hence the sidecar of bourbon we are serving along side our bourbon orange cardamom cream eggnog at Coltivare.”

Goodnight Charlie’s Big Tom Toddy

If you’re looking for some live music this holiday season, be sure to swing by Goodnight Charlie’s, our favorite honky tonk, and order a Big Tom Toddy. It’s named after Irish country singer Tom McBride and is a warm concoction of Tullamore Dew, Honey Syrup, lemon, and Chamomile tea.

Eight Row Flint’s Especia de Calabaza (Pumpkin Spice)

We love Eight Row Flint for large group gatherings — there’s plenty of outdoor seating plus delicious shareable bites. For the holidays, they are serving festive Mexican-inspired cocktails including the Especia de Calabaza, a pumpkin spice beverage with a bit of spiced pear and a splash of orange juice. We can’t wait to try one!
