When it comes to my closet essentials, tweed jackets are a must. Tweed is such a versatile fabric that can easily be worn year-round when styled with different seasonal pieces. I love the classic, professional element it brings to even the most casual outfit. When paired with a tweed jacket, denim and a t-shirt transition from super laid back to effortlessly chic.

During these post-summer weeks of in-between seasons when everyone is trying to figure out how to pull off fall pieces like jackets and blazers, I thought I’d share a few of the ways I like to style this classic staple. Read on below!

Silk Blouse & Denim

I love throwing on a tweed jacket over a white silk blouse with jeans and booties or heels. In the fall this is my go-to look for lunch meetings — it’s the perfect mix of feminine and edgy, and makes a statement while still feeling classic. While it’s still warm out, I like to drape the jacket over my shoulders rather than layering it directly over my top.

Stripes & Heels

Finding a layered look that is still light and breathable is essential for early fall style. By pairing the texture of tweed with a stripe pattern, it creates a complex layer that is actually super easy and also lightweight. I also love how a chic tweed jacket and heels dress up boyfriend denim and even denim shorts! So easy and comfortable.

Pastel Tweed + White Pants (All Year Long!)

I’m such a fan of wearing white denim year-round! It’s so refreshing during the fall months when styles start gravitating towards grey and black. This colorful Hunter Bell tweed jacket is perfect with white denim and a dark grey sweater. To transition this look from spring to fall, I’ll throw on booties and a black crossbody. Side note, light hues including pink are in for the fall season!

Do you love tweed jackets as much as I do?? I’d love to hear how you style them for fall in the comments below! xo
