Having FMK home for a mini paternity leave and then for Christmas & New Year’s break was such a blessing! We didn’t want to let him go back to work on Monday. 😉 We watched Making a Murderer on Netflix (have you seen it?!? What did you think?), completed some house projects and just enjoyed spending time with the boys. It was so nice! Now that Andrew is here, I can’t imagine what Christmas would have been like if he held out until January 10th. It’s so crazy to think I could still be pregnant on his one month birthday today!
Another perk of having Fred home was that I could run out for an hour between feedings, if needed. One day I left during nap time and got a much needed Christmas manicure and another day I popped over to River Oaks District to shop some sales and check out the new COS store. It is so important for my sanity to get out of the house – playing outside with Knox, running a quick errand or even going to the grocery store at night when Fred gets home all become something I look forward to.
It was an 80 degree Christmas here in Houston so I didn’t need many layers. I love this J.Crew jacket for dressing up with white pants or for a casual day of shopping with some distressed denim.
