After having Knox, I became increasingly aware of everything we put into our bodies and the household products we use around us. But it wasn’t until sweet Andrew came along that I could see the immediate effects of our choices.

When I first started reading labels and putting more thought into our purchases as a family, I did it because I only wanted the best products for our family. But then our little Andrew (who napped through our pictures) was born with eczema (and some food allergies) and the effects of the products we used would literally have immediate consequences. Reading labels has become second nature, but over time a few brands have gained my trust and Seventh Generation is one of them.
Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent is made with plant-based ingredients, is a USDA Certified Biobased Product and is not made with any dyes, optical brighteners or synthetic fragrances. But I know what you mamas are thinking, does it get the stains out? Coming from a boy mom, I am happy to report that it does. 😉 Andrew is at the age where he literally wears everything he eats and both are boys are ‘all boy’. From roughing it at ‘Camp Harper’ (a.k.a my parents house) to playing in puddles with Rosie at home, they can’t stay clean for more than a few hours. We have multiple changes of clothes and baths a day, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. The clean scent of Fresh Lavender is made with high quality essential oils and botanical extracts, nothing artificial. I am glad we have a laundry detergent that I know is gentle on their skin, but tough at fighting stains. And I love that it smells good, too!

I too use only 7th generation products for kitchen, cleaning and laundry!! I love your room, I have an almost identical setup. I wondered about the shelving between the machines and the cabinets.. may I ask where you got them?
they were built with the cabinets. 😉
