Kids Bunk Room in a Texas Hill Country Home

I am so excited to share the grandkids’ bunk room at the ranch house. This room turned out to be one of my favorite rooms with the built-in bunk beds to sleep all six grandchildren. It makes my heart so full to see them all pile in at night for bedtime stories freshly bathed in the cute pjs.

Harper Hill Country: The Bunk Room Bathroom

Having one space for all the kids has been such a fun bonding experience for them. You can usually find them all playing in the big empty area between all the bunk beds, as well. We plan to add a kids table, rug and curtains as we get settled, but I couldn’t wait any longer to share it with you!

With this many kids in one room, bedtime take a little longer than at home. 🙂 Andrew is usually the one who keeps the rest of the crew awake with Knox calling, “Mom, Andrew won’t stop talking! Mom, Andrew is out of his bed!” Anyone else with the mischievous second child?! ha!

Serena and Lily, my favorite brand for bed linens and all things home, decked out the bunk beds for us. We mixed and matched their beautiful quilts and bedding for the boy and girl grandchildren. For the girls, we went with the blue and white floral quilt and for the boys we kept it simple with plain navy and white. At the foot of each bed are these really cool Hedgehog roll out beds. The kids throw them on the ground to make pallets when watching tv or to create more sleeping room when their second cousins join in the fun! I have two of these at our house too for sleepovers and they are a big hit!

The kids also share a bathroom off the bunk room. I love how the navy cabinets and rustic wood mirrors keep the beautiful Aria Stone Gallery marble countertops rustic and playful for a kids bath. Weezie Towels so kindly stocked the bathrooms with my all time favorite towels! We went with the block H monogram for Harper Hill Country.

I hope you love this space as much as we do! All sources are listed for you below…
