After days and days of rain in Houston, it finally slowed down enough for Kate and I to get out and take a few outfit pictures. Here is a little preview of what I look like after walking around in the heat and humidity. And it isn’t even officially summer yet!
I don’t have to tell you (again) about my love for blazers and how they can take any outfit up a notch. I wear them year around because I am always cold in restaurants, meetings, movies, etc. I love to have the option to throw on a light layer, even in the Texas summer months. Everything else is about as basic as it gets, but if you don’t have a good white shirt and denim shorts for summer, now is the time because they are both on sale! Also, how cute are these nude flats? I am living in them! They go with everything, they are so comfortable and so cute + on trend – win, win, win!
Speaking of SALE! Nordstrom kicked off their half-yearly sale today. Yep, that’s right, it only happens twice a year so it is BIG and you don’t want to miss it!

You know, I never think to pair a blazer with jean shorts. It’s the perfect layer for summer evenings or as you said, indoors with the a/c. Thanks for the inspo. Love the pink!
