We recently updated our fireplace and builtins in our living room, and I couldn’t be more excited about the (almost) completed outcome! (We still need to install the picture lights and knobs.) But as you can imagine, with new builtins comes a new challenge: How to style them?! I am sure things will get moved around a thousand times between now and Christmas alone, but one thing I know is here to stay is the new L’Occitane Home Collection. I added the Diffuser set in Candied Fruits to our bottom shelf for a beautiful accent with a delicious scent. (Scent notes: The dawn heralds the scent of a May garden throughout the house, when roses climb up to windows to whisper delicate hints of the Grasse flower.) I love that it looks like another accessory on our shelf, but it keeps the living room smelling fresh. Since this room is our highest traffic area and most used room, I love that the diffuser let’s out a consistent fragrance without having to remember to light a candle.
I sprinkled a few other new favorite fragrances around the house to instantly update the look and scent of the rooms for the upcoming holiday season. In bedroom, I placed this beautiful silver candle that fits in perfectly with the existing color scheme. Since I am already in full holiday mode over here, I selected the Winter Forest scent for a masculine and woodsy smell to feel like we are relaxing by the fire. (Scent notes: Can you hear pine and green oak logs crackling? No need for a fireplace to enjoy the comforting scent of a roaring fire for a toasty atmosphere on a winter’s day.)
Sometime you just need a quick splash of something special right before guest arrive to hide an unwanted smell coming from the kitchen or to simply set the mood of the night. For these reasons, I love keeping a bottle of L’Occitane home perfume at an arm’s reach. I also selected this in the Winter Forest fragrance because honestly, I just can’t get enough of it! I can keep the house smelling like a fire is crackling in our newly updated fireplace without making the mess (or burning the pretty wood)!
