As you can see from the pictures, New York is in full bloom, and it is turning into a beautiful spring in the city (finally!).  Today’s weather reminded me just how lucky I am to live one block from Central Park.  The lush green trees, clear blue sky, and bright flowers made for a striking backdrop for my outfit.

Walking around the city today in this head to toe neutral outfit made me feel sleek and sophisticated.   There is something so refreshing about classic colors and silhouettes that feel so “Uptown”.  Although I love the pristine look of all white, I felt that it was a little too early and I was a little too pale to go all the way, so I added in shades of ivory and tan.  The longer structure of the beige blazer balanced out the narrow crop pants nicely and the metallic top added a just the right amount of shine.

I stuck to white and gold jewelry to carry out the clean, minimal look and let the LAI handbag be the real showstopper.  There isn’t anything more sophisticated than a structured crocodile bag, and I love the way the darker shade of taupe popped against the white pants.

How are you wearing this spring trend – white out or going nude?
