Houston is so beautiful this time of year!  Everyone’s yard is in full bloom and we are just getting our first true taste of summer. (Yesterday hit the 90’s!)  My summer uniform is typically a breezy dress for their effortless styling and versatile transition from casual to dressy.  I am typically drawn to neutral color pallets, but my love for blue and white doesn’t stop with home decor, it is probably the largest section of my closet (after black and white, of course).

I snagged these espadrilles for those days when you want to look put together, but a heel just isn’t practical.  (Also perfect for long maxi dresses you don’t want to hem!)  And because the A/C is always too high in Texas, a denim jacket is a must!  And if anyone is wondering, I am still not over the basket bags, they go with everything and are just so fun!

But back to this dress, I have a new little secret that I just started doing this month and I am already obsessed!  Have you heard of Rent the Runway Unlimited?!  I know we are all familiar with the traditional RTR model where you can rent a gown for an event, but now you can sign up for a monthly subscription and rent up to four pieces at a time, wear and return.  It is so easy to do and they have everything from casual day items, to work wear to evening so it fits every lifestyle and occasion.  I actually first heard about this from a friend that lives in the city and she was using it for work clothes.  I thought it was genius when she told me about it, but since I don’t have a traditional office job anymore, I didn’t think it was for me.  Well, I finally got around to trying it for myself and I LOVE it!  Obviously it is perfect for a blogger so I can share more outfits with you all without breaking the bank, but it is also great for mom life.  I love that I can rotate my closet with easy summer styles, always have something new to wear and not have to ever go shopping!  I have a friend who is expecting and she is using it right now to get all the flowy tops, dresses, etc. without having to spend money on another maternity wardrobe she won’t want to wear after the baby arrives – so smart, right?!

I love it so much I had to share it with you!  Rent the Runway is offering you 40% off their first month of Unlimited membership if you are a new Rent The Runway member!  Use code: HARPERPERK40
