Another New York Fashion Week has come and gone, and although we weren’t on the ground for it this year, we’ve loved following along on Instagram and industry favorite The Cut.

If we could summarize the New York Fall 2018 shows in two words, we would say: be bold. Don’t expect typical wintry tones of grey, navy, black, burgundy, and tan in the autumn months this year. Think bright, think floral, and think PINK. Read on below for our four favorite trends that are actually perfect for wearing now into spring and summer!

Bold Prints

Fall isn’t just for plaids and herringbone prints this year. Fashion designers showed bold, bright geometric and animal prints that will ensure a cheerful wardrobe even in the chillier months.

Fall Florals

As Miranda Priestly quipped in Devil Wears Prada, florals for spring are not groundbreaking. But for fall, floral prints do feel a bit unexpected, especially in the bright, “spring” hues that designers showed last week. Which means we will be layering our favorite spring and summer florals all year long!

Hot Pink

Move over millennial pink, and helloooo hot pink! We’re pretty excited to wear this statement shade from now until the end of the year.

Western Chic

Maybe our Texas roots make us a little biased, but we love the “western chic” trend that appeared on multiple runways this year. Think Little House on the Prairie meets New York City. This is giving us major style inspiration for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo coming up next month! Looks like we will be keeping our boots out for the rest of the year. 😉
