Today is the first day the Nordstrom anniversary sale is open to the public (non cardholders)! Every year the Nordstrom anniversary sale comes around and we all swarm to stock up on our fall favorites and back to school must-haves. It isn’t often you get a chance to shop NEW merchandise at a discount and it would be an understatement to say we all swarm to the occasion. But this year, it wasn’t just the fall trends that had me scrambling to add to cart, it was the beauty buys! Beauty products don’t typically go on sale, because they rarely go out of stock. They are a replenishment item that is always on the shelf and therefore retails don’t need to mark it down to make room for the new stuff. For that reason, this is a huge opportunity to save on beauty. And the items they marked down this year are better than I can ever remember. Like I am talking so many of my must have, go-to products are on the list! To shop my favorite fashion styles, look over here because today we are talking all things beauty!
1. Bobbi on Trend Eyes & Cheeks Collection – I always buy make-up sets like this to keep in my car, purse, etc. to touch up on the go. I love this one because it has all the colors I will wear so I am not wasting a pallet on a few good colors. This pallet mixes matte and shimmer so it’s perfect for taking you from day to night.
2. DAY-TO-NIGHT LIPSTICK SET – This set in “hot lips nude” will be your new best friend, if you aren’t already using it! I promise you will be wearing every day. If you haven’t tried Charlotte Tilbury, I love her lipsticks and liners! This Exclusive K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick from the Kim K.W collection and ‘Pillow Talk” lip liner are so popular, I can’t believe they are included!
3. I also thought this CLÉ DE PEAU BEAUTÉ was a beautiful set and it’s a little more compact if you are looking for a smaller, on-the go set.
4. Filmstar Bronze & Blush Glow Set – I have used the same Nars bronzer / blush pallet for years, but I’ve heard so much buzz about this one and I can’t wait to use it!
5. Round Sensor Mirror Pro – I keep one of these on our counter to apply my make-up. On days I don’t use it, I get in the car and look in the mirror and always notice too much blush or uneven eyes. If you aren’t using a well lite, magnified mirror to apply make-up, you should be!
6. Look in a Box Basic Brush Kit – Good make-up brushes are a big investment, but with a set like this on sale its the perfect time to treat yourself to a quality brush set!
7. LASH ENHANCING SERUM DUO – I am super excited about ordering this again! I have used it before and you start to see the results pretty immediately. My mom even used it and I swear her eye lashes were past her eye brows (I am not exaggerating!). I wasn’t as diligent about using it daily as she was, but I loved my results, too! My sister and I are splitting this set!
8. Enzyme Cleansing Gel Duo – Fun fact, I use to be on the beauty team at Gilt and this was one of the brands I bought. I even went to the Manhattan spa to shoot a video with an esthetician for their Facebook page. I have used this stuff ever since… 5 years later!
9. ExfoliKate® Intensive Exfoliating Treatment – I keep this in the shower and use it at least once a week. Exfoliation is the most important part of a good skin care regime to keep your cells turning over and producing new, young skin. And this is by far the best product for it. I have used this one for years, you can literally see it on this post from three years ago.
10. BRIGHT EYE ILLUMINATING DEVICE – Okay, I can’t attest to this one, but I will say this is the part of my face I worry about the most (probably most people do?) I get deep, dark circles and after reading some reviews I want to pull the trigger and try it!
11. Skin Rejuvenating Pillow Case – I have always wanted to try one of these pillow cases! I think now is the perfect time to wake up sheet mark free and looking less tired than I actually am. 😉
12. Dental Pro – Sonic’ Teeth Whitening System – I feel like this entire post is taking me back to my buying days. I also use to buy this brand and it is a cult favorite. People swear by the results and it has been years since I used it for myself… I think it’s time for a touch up!
13. Perfect Hair shampoo set is a must… especially if you live in Houston. 😉
14. Body Wash Duo – I usually rush to all the make-up and skin care, but it’s nice to treat yourself to a good body wash, as well. My husband loves Molton Brown, too!
15. Skinny Dip Marble Manicure Set – Okay, is it just me or do you only need nail tools when you are on the go?! I never have them when I need them so I am buying this for my car and / or travel bag!
16. FOREVER YOUNG HAND CREAM SPF 40 SET – If our hands could talk, they would say put sunscreen on me! If you live in an area where you spend a lot of time driving (hello, Texas), your hands are constantly exposed to sun damage so your daily lotion should have an SPF. We take such care of our face, you don’t want your hands to show your real age. 😉
17. Jumbo Creme de Corps with Pump – This is THE best body lotion. I put it on every time I get out of the shower. I promise you will use the entire thing!
