DOWNTOWN CASUAL

This formula has been a go-to outfit of mine for years. (See here + here in New York City.) It’s a simple mix of casual + chic with the distressed denim and structured blazer, but it is also super function in the summer heat.  I love that I have a jacket to pull on when I head in doors to the cold A/C.

We had a pretty laid back weekend with two pool birthday parties so Knox was in heaven.  He goes 100% in the water and then comes home and takes the best naps!  It has been a welcome change because for a while I was afraid he was dropping his nap at 2.5 (every mom’s nightmare)!  Drew is loving the pool time, too.  We have a little shaded float he will relax in or he will splash around while I hold him.  He even enjoys a nap under the umbrella when we don’t make it home for nap time.  I think it’s safe to say the boys love summer!

Do y’all have any big plans for the holiday weekend?  We have dragged our feet making plans and are still debating whether we will be heading to the lake or not.  We have two back to back trips coming up to California and Colorado so part of me just wants to stay home this weekend before we take off next week.
