Caroline styles a Cinco de Mayo tablescape

This weekend is full of reasons to celebrate from Cinco De Mayo to the Kentucky Derby!  We are hosting a Cinco De Mayo theme baby shower for one of my besties (who recently moved back to Texas from Mexico) this weekend and I will definitely be repurposing some of our goodies from this fiesta!

As a native Texan, there isn’t anything better than a cold margarita and fresh guacamole on a summer night.  In fact, one of my only complaints about living in New York City was the lack of TexMex (you literally can’t find decent queso dip in the city).  Even though I don’t need an excuse to throw a Mexico-inspired fiesta, I couldn’t let Cinco de Mayo pass without a little fiesta of my own!

Meg had the adorable idea to use broken pottery for the place cards and I love how unique and on theme they turned out!  She continued the theme onto the menus using these cool terra-cotta bases to a pot.  I’m obsessed and reusing them this weekend for another party we are hosting.  The pomegranate margaritas were actually inspired by my favorite margarita in the city at Rosa Mexicano. (Hey, I didn’t say you couldn’t get a great margarita in NYC!)

We are in the process of a patio makeover with Frontgate so stay tuned for the full reveal, coming soon!  I am already so obsessed!  We literally drink our coffee outside every morning now while the boys play.  It is my new favorite spot in the house.  I can’t wait to show it to you soon, but in the meantime, you can shop the table here + seating area here.
